This resource is the product of 3 years teaching RS & Philosophy and, under observations, the lessons it has helped create have all been rated as good-outstanding.

This is the first in a series of lessons on Hinduism for GCSE level students for the ‘Beliefs, Teachings & Practices’ section of the course [section A]. It is suitable for AQA and OCR specifications for sure, probably useful to other specifications also.

Christmas DIRT Worksheets (3 x A4 options)
An A3 Christmas DIRT Worksheet
The professionally designed Christmas quiz is tailor-made for teachers of German to use with their students. It comprises a PowerPoint Quiz with 60 well-presented questions. Please note: questions and answers are in English.
In the quiz, fifty of the questions are Christmas-related and not connected to a specific school-subject: the final ten are subject-specific and deal either with GCSE terminology, KS4 exam specification contents, or “fun facts”.
Completing and peer-marking the 60-question quiz should take the best part of a 1-hour lesson. Easy differentiation can be achieved by changing team-sizes.
The DIRT Worksheets are suitable for any KS4 or KS5 class. They are focussed on student-reflection, target-setting , progress checking, and creating student-teacher dialogue. They are all Christmas themed to help with tone and engagement.

Professionally designed for the new AQA Sociology GCSE specification (8192).
This is lesson 14 of our 20 lesson course for the ‘Education’ section; it focuses on new research, data and evidence from a UK and Global perspective. This download utilised ONS, DoE and other statistical sources that students can use to enhance their work.
The download includes a choice of two lessons to cover the material. Teachers can choose between two formats depending on their teaching style and the learning-style/needs of the students. You could also teach the two included approaches as two separate lessons to enhance learning. The download is also ideal if you are hoping for students to use and practice numeracy skills in your sociology class.
The download includes:
-A detailed lesson plan: highlighting differentiation, AfL, key-words, SMSC and a timeline of learning activities (.pdf) (x2)
-2 x premium quality lessons, PPT presentations (fully animated) that allow for a choice of approaches
-A knowledge hunt file with detailed statistical information, graphs, official statistics and research (15+ A4 sides) (.pdf)

All lessons are designed around the new AQA specification, we take considerable time making the highest quality lessons. The cover picture depicts some of the tasks contained within the lesson and the quality of resources: contents may vary depending on the topic and subject-matter.
A complete set of 18 revision sessions for each of the 18 sections of the ‘Christianity’, ‘Philosophy of Religion’ and ‘Religion & Ethics’ components of the AS-Level OCR Religious Studies specification (H173/H573).
Sessions use a variety of mind-mapping, discussion and debate tasks to cover each section of the specification.
The revision sessions can be used in a number of ways:
-As revision sessions during a revision period of term-time leading up to exams
-Sandwiched between lessons as they are taught throughout the year as a way of solidifying and assessing learning
-During extra-curricular time (KS5 Religious Studies Clubs)
This revision sessions feature:
-A ‘grid of learning’ post-it task (to focus students on the day’s topic and refresh their memories of the basics)
-A 'competitive mind-mapping task (which can be completed on the whiteboard or on A3 paper)
-A silent debate task (with 6 x A3 silent debate worksheets in an editable .doc file) [nb. allowing group conversation, instead of silence, is also an effective approach]
-Debates that ask students to move from one side of the room or the other and verbalise a defence of their position in response to a statement or rubric.
-A concluding ‘One thing I am still uncertain about…’ post-it question.
The cover picture depicts the quality of the resource: contents and activities may vary slightly between each session.
