A wheel designed for a whole lesson of revision of Internal Factors - Class on the AQA Sociology AS Level/A Level Scheme. Students spend 5 minutes on each segment revising all they know and including sociologists/studies at every opportunity.

This is a whole class marking crib sheet. It is designed to speed up whole sets of marking. Has been designed for use in an English classroom, but could easily be used for any subject.

This was a resource used to help guide annotation of extracts and then to write an analytical paragraph. It was originally used for OMAM with year 9, but could be adapted to suit KS3 and all AQA Literature texts that require interaction with an extract.

Poetry Revision Wheel - Students spend 5 minutes on each segment creating a full lesson for revision of either a poem from the AQA anthology or to help guide notes taken on an unseen poem.

A word document that makes students zoom in/out on aspects of an image prompt. Students are also asked to focus on key literary techniques. Change image, techniques, focus points to differentiate and challenge. Model initially with one image and then ask students to write a paragraph for each box. This will get students thinking about varying the structure of their description.

A lesson around ‘The Schoolboy’ poem. The poem is given in sections as students build clues as to the speaker’s feelings about school. Students encouraged to develop and build their understanding of the poet’s intentions and to consider the structure of the poem. Second poem also included for comparison which could act as a second lesson or homework.
