I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

This pdf consists of 20 questions which I have used in the revision process for more able students. 20 ‘A’ Level standard questions covering the whole topic of Trigonometry. These are difficult questions which should only be attempted in the revision process. Small Angle Approximations + answers

(0)
A very underrated topic in most text books - this PDF covers all that you will need to teach / learn the small angle approximations at ‘A’ level. I have approached the topic from various angles to ensure a lot of variability in the style of question and it’s focus - i have not combined it with any other expansions though. I have finished it off with a couple of questions involving the Sine rule and Cosine rule which are a little bit more challenging. Answers are included. Please give feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Trig Identities for 'A' Level

(0)
This is a collection of almost 50 Trig identities that I have collected over the years. They are not in order of difficulty but I see no reason why an ‘A’ level groups should not work through them as a collective group effort. - there’s a good idea for a lesson. Obviously answers are not included but all identities have been checked. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.
Differentiation Using The Quotient Rule

Differentiation Using The Quotient Rule

(0)
This is a cracking worksheet with almost 30 questions on every aspect of differentiation using the quotient rule. There is a large number of questions on using the quotient rule - some of these mix the chain rule or the product rule in too, and then there are a few involving the applications of differentiation. This pdf is an excellent resource for revising the Quotient Rule. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

This is a well structured and thought out worksheet on the Related Rates of Change. A common question at ‘A’ level on all boards and usually under-represented in text books we designed these 12 questions to test our students. Great for an end of topic worksheet, homework or revision sheet these questions cover everything you will need to teach this topic fully. Answers are included. Solving Linear Equations Without Brackets Worksheet - 100+ Qs answers included

(0)
This PDF contains over 100 questions on linear equations without brackets. I used this for all classes. At KS3 I may only use the first half of each question and allow the more able student to attempt the second half. At KS4 I used it for revision and simply asked students to go down one column. Each set of questions gets progressively harder and answers. Question 1 - 26 parts of the form ax = b - latter answers include negatives Question 2 - 26 parts of the form a + x = b or a - x = b - latter answers include negative Question 3 - 26 parts of the form ax + b = c or even b - ax = c - latter answers include negatives Question 4 - 26 parts of the form ax + b = cx + d and harder - latter answers include negatives. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Worded Questions on Linear Equations - with answers

(0)
This PDF is a set of 20 worded questions and practical situations which lead to linear equations. These questions were aimed at Year 10 and they are basically straight forward, but students often find this type of question to be difficult and will find these questions are a little challenging. 20 questions with great variety. Answers are included. Please provide feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Solving a Linear and a Quadratic Equation Simultaneously + Answers

(0)
A very useful worksheet for grade 7+ students. This topic has been in every GCSE paper from all boards since the introduction of the 9 - 1 exam. This PDF consists of 26 questions on solving a pair of simultaneous equations - one linear and one quadratic - resulting in a quadratic equation and hence two points of intersection. All questions have been carefully worked out to give integer answers and none of the resulting quadratics are ‘ugly’. I recently added a second set of questions on where a line crosses a circle - focusing on one, two or zero solutions and their interpretation. Answers are included Please give feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Aimed primarily at more able students at KS4 this PDF has about 15 questions on the Circumference, area and perimeter of shapes involving circles. This is not an introduction sheet but I used it as an extension sheet with more able students in Year 9 and as a revision sheet in Year 11. It is very comprehensive and covers problems related to circles, applications and working backwards to find the radius. Answers are included. please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

(0)
Aimed at KS3 and foundation level GCSE. This PDF has 11 questions on finding the averages from a discrete frequency table. Though Mean, mode and Median are requested I always asked pupils to state the range of the data too. All questions are in context and are relevant. I use these at KS3 and also at foundation level at KS4. The last two questions are a little more tricky with the median though. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

This pdf is a comprehensive worksheet consisting of 10 questions on histograms. Most questions require a histogram to be drawn (often with the frequency density scale not given) -The sheets are of the “Write on” type - so no preparation needed. Several questions require students to find the median from a histogram or other similar calculations. Ideal for revision. Aimed primarily at GCSE higher level these questions can be used to teach the topic or can be given for revision. Answers are included. Median & Quartiles of Grouped and Continuous Data

(0)
The pdf consists of 7 questions on finding the median and quartiles of both grouped and continous data. For continous data we should be using cumulative frequency graphs and the questions are suitable for such, but I originally used the sheet to teach linear interpolation so most of the questions are based on grouped discrete data. Answers are included.
