Could be used across all classes in a variety of ways.
E.g. ask students to produce a report for a retailer; Ask students to find the mean of each data set; ask students to put the data into stem and leaf diagrams, boxplots and interpret.
Sheet with examples and explanations about simple and compound interest. A couple of questions left for pupils to attempt first/ to copy down as teacher explains.

In order to get a pass at A’Level Maths you MUST put in at least one hour of independent work for every one hour of class time. Just attending class and doing the homework IS NOT ENOUGH except in very exceptional cases.
So what could you be doing in those hours…
-how, hints , why - for each suggestion.
A four page handout outlining in detail what students need to be doing.
A collection of key words that can be cut up and spread around the classroom to help with literacy in maths classrooms. Or used as an easy lesson activity - have them cut up in a bag and pupils take one out and try to explain it/ ask someone to spell it...
Activity sheets for pupils and guidance notes for teacher which outlines how to plan a statistical enquiry. Pupils are invited to consider how they would ascertain which form is the 'fittest' using templates and discussion questions. The ideas could be taken further - data collection sheets are included if you choose to actully collect and go on to analyse the data as appropriate to your group. The resources could be used collaboratively with PE dept.
