Complete set of lessons and workbook for Unit 3 controlled assessment preperation. The lessons include research tasks and links to help. Workbook helps to organise students notes and prepare them for the controlled assessment
Complete workbooklet for Unit 3 criminology. The workbook goes over the controlled assessment and has tips including the mark scheme for each AC. This can be used for notes within class and taken into the controlled assessment. Works alongside the powerpoints, but can be changed around your own powerpoints.
A first lesson that I use in GCSE Sociology, can also be used for Alevel as well. The idea is that students are trapped on a desert island and they have to rebuild a society. This has been adapted for covid, but instead of sections you could split the 4 areas into 4 key roles: priminister, education minister, crime minister & legal minister and get students to be responsible for each part.
Each section touches on some key areas from the sociology specification so gets students talking/ thinking sociologically.
There is a reflection page at the end which again brings up some good key questions for students to consider. I found this useful when teaching about sociological theories.
Complete workbook to prepare students for their CA, includes QR codes to useful websites. This is for them to independently fill in using your teaching/ their own research to help prepare them for their controlled assessment.
At the start of each AC, it tells students what they need to do in the CA for that area, including how the marks are awarded.
Includes a contents page so that each AC is easily accessible during the CA
Revision summaries of the whole of the families topic for Alevel AQA Sociology. They are structured as powerpoint slides so that you can go through them crash course style or print them out for students to annotate.
There are 5 powerpoints that split the families topic into the sections:
Perspectives
Family diversity
Roles
Childhood
Demography
A summary booklet following WJEC criminology Unit 2, LO2. The resource goes through each of the theories and has summary tasks for students to complete
There is also a powerpoint to go alongside the booklet- there is an example six marker at the end
