Revision booklet for B1-4 Trilogy biology

Made using the AQA Trilogy specification. Feedback welcome

AQA Biology Trilogy Checkpoints

(2)
In an effort to reduce marking I have put together these checkpoints for the B1-4 Trilogy topics. (can also be used for triple Biology.) I use them as starters or plenaries. B1 Cell biology B2 Organisation B3 Infection and response B4 Bioenergetics Students complete TG, an effort grade, a student comment for how they are getting on or any questions and a 'science specific target'. I usually get these printed on coloured paper to make them stand out, in the power point, they are clear to allow you to do this.

KS3 Diet and Health revision activities (new KS3)

This resource is differentiated by task and also by time to be spent on each. Red activities = hardest, Orange = medium demand Green = easy The stars represent the time to be spent on each ( I change this depending on the ability of the group/ student e.g. each star represents 2 minutes) I usually display on the board and students work on A3 or print for lower ability classes. Could cut up and use as flashcards

3.1.1 Exchange Surfaces revision grid OCR A level biology

(0)
This resource is 3 A4 pages of revision activities for the 3.1.1 OCR Exchange surfaces topic Top features include: QR code - takes students to multiple choice quiz from the OCR QR code for useful videos QR code to questions on Seneca maths elements PAG elements checks key terminology Links to other parts of the spec where appropriate The activity is designed to check that students have an understanding of the topic and encourages independent working. I advise my students to use notes or a textbook before asking the teacher if they do not know the answer. Each side takes students roughly an hour to complete. I have used as homeworks, support sessions, revision lessons, private study tasks and printed on card to cut as revision cards All other topics available. Please note answers not yet available but in the pipeline.

2.1.2 Biological molecules revision podcast activity

I have been creating podcasts to help students revise the A level Biology content. I created this work sheet to use alongside the podcast. Students spend 10 minutes answering the questions first, listen to the podcast and mark their answers, adding any additional detail that they need in the extra box. There are 2 parts to 2.1.2 as it is such a large topic about 25 mins long each. More podcasts added regularly

It also includes useful additions for teachers to prompt students during lessons. a series of 16 worksheets with answers within the power point where relevant. the ‘What is…a mammal?’ ebook pdf I have written a series of books called ‘Little Biologist Books’ aimed at young children you can find out more on instagram @littlebiologistbooks I would absolutely love to hear your feedback and plan to develop more resources like this.
