Preparation:
Print 1 blank domino mat and 12 hearts for each student. (You can ask your students to cut them themselves).
Description:
With the help of the flashcards show how hearts are arranged to represent individual numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
-Tell students numbers and ask them to arrange as many hearts on their domino mats.
Depending on their level you can teach them how numbers can broken down e.g.
4 (1+ 3, 3+1, or 2+2) or let them discover the different possibilities alone.

Pancake Day: multiple ALPHABET GAMES e.g. FLIP THE PANCAKES
Frying pans have upper case, Pancakes have lower case letters.
Cut out all the cards
Game 1: Match the frying pan letters with the pancake letters
Slight modification to game 1: cut the pancakes into circular shapes.
This way children can put the lower case pancake letter into the right frying pan.
Game 2: An A4 sheet is provided with blank pancakes. Print it double sided (with letters on the other side).
You will have a “Flip the Pancake game” or with 2 copies, a Memory Game.
