I designed this PowerPoint to help my students understand the expectations for the BTEC Unit 24 Sports Analysis Assignment 2. I deliver this to a football based programme so this is why it is mostly football related. It helped them to understand what was required as the assignment brief can be a little confusing for them.

This resource I used for the Cambridge Nationals Technology in Sport Module. I use this as my first lesson to introduce the module and get students thinking about how technology can be used within the industry. Contains lots of points for discussions and also some YouTube clips which are useful.

PowerPoint presentation detailing the various Sports Analysis techniques. This is an ideal preparation lesson for the first assignment for this unit. The resource contains various YouTube links which can be made into activities as well as a presentation of data to help the students get used to presenting statistics.

PowerPoint I created to go through Motivation for the students. Covering intrinsic and extrinsic as well as some key theories relating to this.

A PowerPoint that goes into detail about the methods and protocols for Sports Analysis. Can be used to help the students to understand the content for assignment 2.

This resource provides detailed breakdown of the psychology of Sports Leadership for the BTEC Level 3 Unit 4. It breaks down some of the theories and has a few activities which you could ask your students to do to support their notes. I used this to help students towards the 2nd assignment.

A quiz to use for the students its a multiple choice quiz could be useful at the end of term as a bit of fun for the students.

A PowerPoint presentation which introduces students to sports injuries and goes through some of the criteria for their first assignment. I used the slides to generate group discussions to get them to create mindmaps etc from the info on the slides.

This presentation highlights how technology has been used within the industry to improve the experience for spectators. I used this to get them thinking for their exam and assignments as part of the Cambridge nationals curriculum but there are also some crossovers for the GCSE PE spec.

Lesson PowerPoint which goes through the different components of fitness and gives example sports for each of them. I used this resource as a revision tool for my year11s and they found it really useful as it is conscise and mentions all the key points with the practical examples. PowerPoint also contains some Youtube clips which can generate group discussions.

I have attached 2 PowerPoints one which goes through the function of the skeletal system and one which goes through the muscular movements. Both are simple and easy to follow for students. I used them for revision purposes with my year11s and they found them really useful for keeping things simple and easy for them.

These 2 PowerPoints are ones that I have used to explain how to reduce the risks of injuries and also looking at the procedures as to how organizations can respond to them. Both PowerPoints contain videos which can generate class discussions and I tend to allow the students to make mind maps giving practical examples based on the content on the slides. Useful for getting them into the content required for their assignments so they can give practical examples for each.

I used these presentations to show students the different stages of rehab and some of the techniques used. Ideally you would have some practical props available as I actually got my students to perform some of the RICE and have a go at strapping so they would be perfect alongside the PowerPoint for enhancing the student’s experiences and learning. These PowerPoint’s give plenty of detail for the students to make good notes and give practical examples in their work.

This is a revision PowerPoint which I used with my Year11s to get them to understand the difference between aerobic activity and anaerobic. This PowerPoint gives some examples, has YouTube clips and a couple of exam questions at the end to check their understanding.

A PowerPoint I used when teaching the BTEC Sports Psychology Unit. Could also be used for GCSE/A-Level. It goes through personality and some of the experiments and theories surrounding it.

This resource is based around the planning of a psychological training programme which forms part of the final BTEC Assignment for the Sports Psychology Unit.

Here is a short PowerPoint which I used to set the scene when asking my students to begin to think about session planning. It has a short video which I found good for generating discussions in the group and also shows them an example of a session from football which they can then begin to build their own session plans for the unit.

Thought I would share this as this is a simple resource template which really helped me when getting into teaching. It helped me to get my head around planning lessons and the sorts of things I should be considering.
