Attached is the first year of 3 year scheme of work. In the footer of the resource is my email address. If you purchase the Scheme of work email me your address and you will receive free updated versions.
This lesson is based around knowing the structure of the heart and new information to the specification including systolic and diastolic pressure and the cardiac cycle.
Resources include a mix and match activity a heart ready to label and a flow map for less able students.
This can be two lessons depending on the group
This TWO lesson resource encompasses why we do fitness testing and limitations and protocols behind it (including a video about car crash testing to allow context to limitations)

This lesson is based around oxygen debt under the new Spec Term of EPOC. This has a revision and exam technique starter and embedded videos are replaced with YouTube links.
This lesson introduces mechanical advantage with the idea students take part in a small practical activity with throwing a ball with "t-rex" arms (hence the photo!)
There is a small maths section to prepare students for **possible** use of the MA formula

This ALL IN ONE document allows you to combine assessments and practical marks to create an overall grade based upon a % score of the total marks available, as there are currently no grade boundaries until the first exam series is completed in 2018. Grade boundaries have been taken from the current spec and raised slightly to increase confidence of grades awarded. Teachers can also log assessment and practical grades on separate tabs

To calculate the assessment section
- Complete a 40 mark test
- Multiply the score by 1.95 (to make a score out of 78 - official test paper mark)
- Multiply by 2 - to account for two exam papers of 78 marks.
This test relates to the first half term on the SOW. 40 mark assessment comprising of multiple choice to medium length answer and comes with mark scheme.
This test is based around half term 3 of the SOW I have published. It covers Respiratory system and some questions from previous topics. included a mark scheme.
