An Inspector Calls: SoW - Higher Level

(1)
**An Inspector Calls: First Teaching/Revision ** GCSE, Higher level. A well-designed and detailed exam revision scheme of work for eight big lesson plans, optimised for online teaching. The PPTs are designed to be divided over eight weeks of lessons, and there are plenty of activities to do this, but they could easily be broken down further and their activities used as supplementary material. Most activities are differentiated with some more challenging, bonus questions for early finishers. The questions within written activities are designed to increase in difficulty in order to both push learners, and to ensure weaker members of the class are still able to complete tasks. This SoW assumes no knowledge of the play, however as revision focused lessons. The context sections and practice essays are especially useful for this mode of work. All sections refer to the attached PowerPoint presentations, which contain knowledge breakdowns and can also act as handouts. The sections are as follows: Week 1. AIC: The Play and its Contexts Week 2. Arthur Birling: A Practical Man of Business Week 3. Sheila Birling: Blame and Shame Week 4: The Inspector: The Art of Interrogation Week 5: Gerald Croft: Keeping up Appearances Week 6: Sybil Birling: Proud and Prejudiced Week 7: Eric Birling: The Generational Gap Week 8: The End: Social Responsibility and the End of Capitalism In each week’s PowerPoint, you’ll find a series of whiteboard-friendly, well designed, and detailed written questions, discussion questions, and knowledge breakdowns which can span over multiple lessons. Files include the ppt and pdfs (The slides also double as handouts for activities, though some handouts are separate) All images used are either in the public domain, or licensed by CC BY 3.0.
