AQA A-Level lesson, for War of the Roses.
Recap starte Quiz and students use flipped learning to find out about the two different battles. They could split the class and find out about a battle each before teaching the other half of the group.
Fully resourced lesson looking at Fidel Castro and the increased tensions between Cuba and the USA.
Takes a bit of work, as the sources need to be printed and put into envelopes. I have done in the past, get the kids pretending to work for the CIA, they love it!
Blank timeline used to consolidate the events of the Cold War.
Students given 20 minutes with closed books to fill in as much as possible, then asked to change colour pen and use books to fill in any missed areas. Good for highlighting areas that may need readdressing.
