GCSE FRENCH: Futur Antérieur Video Lesson

(0)
This is a comprehensive lesson on the French FUTUR ANTÉRIEUR tense. This is an 18 minute video lesson in which I explain and illustrate how to form the futur antérieur as well as how and when to use this tense. The illustrations are very clear and all examples are in written form. At the end of the video I talk students through a 10 question quiz in which they must decide whether to use the futur antérieur or the futur simple. All of the questions and answers are clearly written for students to see. A version of the video lesson included in this bundle is on YouTube. However, this one is for you to use with your students and it is not the same. In your version of the video lesson there is no reference made to my website or to supporting my work in any way. This video lesson is entirely appropriate for your students with no marketing for Love Learning Languages included other than on the title page where the name of my store is written.

GCSE FRENCH: Futur Antérieur Task Cards + Powerpoint

(0)
This is a set of 30 French FUTUR ANTÉRIEUR tense task cards + powerpoint that you can use in a number of ways with your students. Each card has a sentence written in the futur simple and your students must transform the sentence to the futur antérieur. This is a nice cooperative speaking activity or if you choose you can use the task cards as a written assignment. A student response sheet is included if you decide to use the cards this way. I'm including a powerpoint version of the cards should you want to project them and have the whole class work together. There's a nice mixture of common regular and irregular verbs to work with. There are verbs using both avoir and être as helping verb as well as a few reflexives (even two that don't require making agreement on the past participle as a challenge). Students can work with a partner as a cooperative activity and to practice speaking or they can work individually to practice writing. Task cards are a nice alternative to worksheets which can sometimes seem tedious or boring. Just print, cut out and laminate these cards and you're ready to go, no prep for years to come! If you look in the upper left corner you'll see a space where you can neatly punch a hole in each card and then connect them with a keyring. This really makes using these task cards easy enough to decide on using at the drop of a hat, and they make for fantastic review. Included with this product: 30 futur antérieur task cards, black and white version 30 futur antérieur task cards, color version Answer key Student response sheet Powerpoint version

GCSE FRENCH: French End of the Year Reflection Questions - French AP or French 4

(0)
It is the end of the year and your French AP students have already taken their test, or your French 4 seniors have practically checked out. What can you do with them that will keep them speaking French during those last days of the school year? Students love talking to each other, and especially at the end of senior year there is a lot to reflect upon. This is a set of 15 reflection questions that you can print, laminate, punch holes in and cut out before hooking the complete set together on a ring. You'll be able to use these reflection questions for years to come. In the upper left corner of each card there is a circle which indicates where you should punch the hole so that your set of cards comes out nice and neat. I have my students work with partners or in small groups to answer the questions orally. At the end of the year and after testing I don't require them to write any answers down on paper, but of course it is up to you. If you wanted to do something kind of fun with the cards you could alternatively play a game of SCOOT and have students write out their answers. The grammar used in these reflection questions is high level and will keep them on their toes!

ESL Scattergories Game This is a really fun activity to play with your students as they practice and build their vocabulary. Scattergories is the perfect game! You can play this game with students of literally any age or level. Players attempt to create answers for each of the four categories on their game. This should be a fast moving game and there are only spaces for six words per category. The MAXIMUM they can write is six words so they have to choose them wisely. Students can be creative and flexible with their answers, but other players can challenge them! 24 games are included with 96 different categories! You can either print out the game sheets or project them to save paper and ink. For younger students you can allow more time for them to think and write, while older students will love the challenge of the timer. 50 this or that question cards - Game of two extremes

Keep your middle school and high school students active by playing the TWO EXTREMES game. The facilitator will use a stack of cards listing things, activities or places that fall at opposite ends of the spectrum, such as: salty or sweet, London or New York, Mac or PC. The students start standing in a big group, but when each choice is read, they move to the side of the room that the facilitator indicates is associated with their choice (see the arrows on the cards). Those who can’t make up their mind or don’t have a preference remain in the center. Students will see all of the things that they have in common with their classmates and will likely learn some new vocabulary while they’re at it! These cards are great for middle school or high school and can be used at any time, especially when everyone needs a break and needs to stand up and move around a bit. This activity requires no teacher prep once the set of cards is printed and cut out. Don’t want to print or don’t have time to do so? That’s ok! There’s a PDF file with only one card per page that you can project and play as a class. Included: PDF of big cards to project when you don’t want to print Stack of 50 cards to print, cut out, punch holes in and attach with a ring - Black and white & color copies provided How to play LICENSING TERMS: This purchase includes a license for one teacher only for personal use in their classroom.
