A Loom presentation taking you through two different ways you can insert chords on BandLab.
A perfect homework task for pupils to do before beginning a project on BandLab.
Can be used in lessons to help explain how to input chords as pupils can follow the steps in the lesson itself.
Great for differentiation as it allows pupils who are struggling to rewatch the video and complete the task at a slower pace.
Opening lesson for Calypso Music SoW.
Can also be used for a stand alone world music lesson. Great for an interview lesson as well.
It has links included to different tracks for your convenience and is easily adapted into a full SoW based around drumming and Caribbean music!
Included is a powerpoint and attached youtube clips.
Short 3 minute Loom video that explains how to set up a score.
Explains how to open a doc, set it up with instruments, a key and time signature and a tempo marking.
An engaging Power Point full of challenging and varied tasks perfect for Year 7 &8!
Links to YouTube videos and other resources are found in the teacher notes section of the slides, barely any prep will be needed as I have also included a document outlining lesson plans from the beginning to end of the SOW.

Perfect SOW for the new year!
This is a full scheme of work aimed at KS3. It includes a complete powerpoint presentation along with keyboard assessment music pieces and google form homework quiz.
It is aimed at year 8 in the hopes they have had an introduction to pitch and keyboard skills in year 7, but it could also suit year 9 or year 7 depending on ability and previous SOW.
The google quiz is excellent for homeworks or cover lessons if needed and is ready to go!
The powerpoint covers/includes:
-27 slides
notes of the treble and bass clef
introduction to rhythmic features such as triplets and dotted notes
starter tasks on note reading
links to helpful videos
keyboard music including ‘can you feel the love tonight’ and other well known works.
Assessment criteria for final performances.
This is a six week scheme of work that covers all the Elements of Music!
This is ideal for schools looking to incorporate more links between their KS3 and 4 units of work!
It introduces KS3 pupils to listening and appraising music. It allows them to hone their listening skills and start to answer GCSE style questions.
Included is a full and inclusive powerpoint (made on Google Slides which is where it will look it’s best), a Kahoot Quiz for some formative assessment half way through the SoW AND an end of unit Google quiz which is all linked on the presentation.
Within the SoW, there is a practical keyboard skills task which can be done over multiple weeks if the half term is longer than mine. Attached is the pdf Sibelius score of the keyboard music for pupils to use.
This SoW can also be split and used for starters of Plenaries for both KS3 and 4 learning and adapted slightly to fit your desired year group.
