Game to be played in pairs
Use this game to roll dice to bring up a two digit, three digit or four digit number (need two dice, three or four)
Round that number to the nearest 10,100 or 1000
Colour in the 1/2 circle for each answer
1436 to the nearest ten is 1440 - colour in 1440
Race against each other to colour in the most semi circles and circles and see who wins!
I have created these visual science sequence sheets for the children’s books.
There are 6 lessons for each year group, for each topic.
The first lesson looks at a Science book to spark scientific questioning and scientific enquiry.
Spring White Rose Small Steps Sequence Mixed Age Year 4 and 5
I have sequenced the small step objectives for year 4 and 5.
We stick them in the front of our maths books and the children tick off the objectives as they complete them.
I have also made an Autumn one (see my shop). Summer is on it’s way!
Autumn White Rosed Mixed Age Small Steps Sequence Year 4 and 5
I have sequenced the year 4 and 5 small step objectives so that they flow.
I have created a document for Autumn and Spring. (Summer to come).
This is stuck in the front of our maths books and the children tick off their objective when we complete it.
Science topics sorted into biology, chemistry and physics.
Each year group has their topics to follow in a visual and child-friendly way.
I use these for the whole school science display.
Each class pegs their current topic onto a washing line.
In our floor books, we use the same printed topic title page.
This yellow handwriting paper gives children clear boundaries for their letter sizes.
For year 3 children who struggle, I print this as A3 size so they can get the hang of their letters all sitting within the yellow coloured area. Descenders go below the yellow and ascenders reach above.
Over the year, we print the sheets onto A4 paper. Then I use a highlighter pen in the children’s books to allow them to continue to practise their letter formation.
I have had some mind blowing results!
I have created a diary planner to suit my needs and preferred layout!
I print the two pages onto one A4. It is important that the Friday Saturday Sunday page is printed onto the left hand side of the page. This means that when you fold the paper in half, you can hole punch the left side and insert it into a ringbinder folder. I buy A5 ringbinders so that they easily fit into my bag.
These diary pages are great because mistakes can be taken out! As teachers, we all know that dates and planning changes every week!
I have colour coded Gary Provost’s poem to show the children how sentence lengths create exciting texts in a visual way.
The text is originally formatted in Twinkl cursive font but is editable.
