*Are your students lacking in confidence in answering questions on Paper 1 Then look no further – **What will this Powerpoint do for you? **1 Based on 2018 paper that walk students through answering Section A **2 Help on how to understand the questions **3 Powepoint has easy to follow instructions and guidance on how to answer each question **4 Sentence starters for each question to help you build up your students skills confidently This is a resource I created to help my borderline grade 3/4 students, it is a ‘walkthrough’. I have based the Power Point on Paper 1, November 2018. I generally use this Power Point over 2 or 3 separate lessons. I have found that borderline students often struggle with putting together a good answer, they often do not know key words to use or how to structure it. I use PEEZE and PEE which I think is standard. I also find that these students need short chunking activities to keep them interested. I have created a separate worksheet that breaks each question down to help the students create an answer. **A Sound of Thunder–Ray Bradbury is copyright for AQA Resource available on AQA website In this pack I have included: Power -Point Worksheet with the full exam questions Dinosaur Worksheet

I have created a brilliant Dyslexia Friendly this lesson using the theme of Boxing, for Question 4 is to ’ Compare how the writers convey their different views on boxing’ This is 1 hour lesson for mixed ability groups. Both Source A and B are included as well as the powerpoint. The slides support students in helping them with Q4 exploring the writers viewpoints and using key quotes to help them explain the writers point of view. The objective is for student’s to read both Source A and Source B and then create a ‘PEEZE’ paragraph comparing different viewpoints of each writer. There are a selection of short interesting and interative tasks to keep students engaged. The objective is for student’s to read both Source A and Source B and then create a ‘PEEZE’ paragraph comparing different viewpoints of each writer. Key Quotes from Source A and from Source B have been included in the ‘Teacher Slide’ at the beginning to help you prepare for the lesson. I have also created a similar layout for Q1/2/3 on separate resources.

Grammar and Punctuation to Stretch and Challenge

I created this brilliant 15 page work pack containing six exercises of general punctuation, nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs and adjectives for my GCSE English language revision class. I found that getting close to GCSE’s my students sometimes forgot basic punctuation. The work pack is easy to use and has a definition with examples and then exercises to be completed. (Answers are included) I have found that I can use them for stretching students further in Year 8 and Year 9. I have added in the answers so that they can bee peered marked or used for homework. I also found that it encourages students to find the meaning and definitions.
