Year 7 and Year 8 Product Design New Curriculum - Tried and Tested - Successful within our technology department. Head of department for design and technology's dream resource :) -Suitable for graphics, textiles, resistant materials, CAD, electronics - based on the new GCSE requirements for 2017. -Teachers can pick and choose which worksheets to cover in their rotation or deliver as a booklet. Bringing the department curriculum together and cross checked against the word document to make sure all areas are being covered within the department. -Use of new grading levels 3-9. Use of PPG's (professional predicted grades) as recommended by PIXL. -A self assessment PowerPoint for each assessment area directly linked to assessment criteria in child friendly language. -A booklet linked to the assessment criteria. Insect Exam AQA GCSE Textiles 2018 - Written Paper Essential Revision Resources This is coming from an experienced teacher of 11 years. I have been a moderator for the AQA and have had good results for my low - high ability students year after year. I have uploaded x3 main resources. The first (best) one is the typical exam questions. This is the most useful for all learners. It has colour pictures. It can be used on the board as well as printed in black and white. The second one is the revision cards. This has more challenging questions but builds up the confidence to develop and in depth knowledge it preparation of those extended writing questions and knowledge overall for all questions. The third one is RAG sheet for exam topics - revision plan. This sheet can be used to map the students confidence at the start, middle or end of the revision scheme of work. It really helps when planning how much time you need to spend on each topic which different students or classes. You can edit and date the lessons and they have a column to write notes in. I have also added lots of mini tests to keep your students busy :) Thanks :)

This resource consists of the blank design question using the Insect Theme, a mark scheme for the students to either self assess or peer assess and a vocabulary sheet to help them. I have left the mood board part blank as my students make their own but very easy to copy and paste images or a whole mood board from another author if needed. I used this year in and year out but adapt it to the exam theme. I also draw examples and put them on the board and get the students to mark my design question work as a starter. Usually teach this over 1-2 hours depending on the ability of the class. As stated in my other resources, I have 11 years experience of teaching this course and I have been a moderator for AQA.
