I am an experienced food/textiles teacher and head of department of technology in a large challenging school where inspirational teaching is a daily need to engage young children based on the many of the educational pedagogies of many successful leaders and newly adapted TEEP structured lessons. I have trained many teachers to an outstanding level. My resources have been tried and tested, reflected on, edited and tried and tested until they are perfect for my learners. Thanks for visiting :)

Series of three lessons leading from modelling and demonstration phases through fun speed dating activity, group work presentation to an independent type up of their own product analysis for their GCSE coursework. 5 why's - Starter and Plenary + Teachers Version KWL-Starter Let me help you next lesson self assessment - plenary Learning objectives and assessment criteria Plain word - type up template Work sheet template - blank and with questions Help sheet within PPT Speed Dating Sheet Presentation criteria peer assessment sheet (saved as part of the dating card document) Teaching tip - set hw to previous lesson for the students to bring in items of clothing similar to their design brief. For the speed dating I had old clothes in the cupboard or I brought in some clothes from home. I took photos for the presentation product analysis for the students. I really loved teaching these lessons as the students grew in confidence as the learning became more established ready for their own controlled assessment.

Covers science and technology influence on garments. Includes youtube video link 46mins. Just a quick throw together to prompt ideas. If you have the green cgp aqa textiles revision book and workbook, there is also a good revision resource in there regarding smart and modern materials. Good Luck with your classes. :)
