This is an Egyptian themed but can be used for any Humanities topic. We use this in RE. The theme is just for fun and so we can play the Bangles famous song whilst they do their feedback.
Marking Codes - A pyramid of codes which teachers can quickly add to a piece of work once reviewed. The pupil reads the code and the instruction on the sheet and responds to the teacher feedback.
Extension Activities - Based around 4 Gods which all ask the pupil to do something different to reflect or add to their work that day. I print several of these A4 in B+W and guillotine them into quarters (quick and easy). They then go into a CHALLENGE folder on the wall and once pupils are done they randomly select a sheet.
They can be used again and again as the task will always ask them to reflect/add to the work they have done that day. - They will often swap the God sheets if they feel they want a different challenge.

The song lasts about 3 mins and is just enough for them to respond to the code and do a presentation check.
Embed this into your lessons and soon you will only have to say ‘It’s Egyptian time!’ and they will get ready to respond to your comments.
