The resources that I am sharing I have used successfully as a Primary Tutor to develop learning, understanding and confidence with individual students. They can also be used for group work. To keep my teaching skills sharp and to continue to develop my understanding of the curriculum, I also work as a Supply Teacher. Before becoming a Tutor I was a Senior Leader in a large Primary school holding the position of Assess Co-ordinator; I have also been a Year Leader and a SENCO.

I created this resource for one of my individual students who was studying The Titanic as a class project and wanted to know more. He used two copies of the titanic template to create a ‘lift the flap’ information board based on his independent research. He used the writing prompt ‘Survivor’ to write a personal account of the sinking of the Titanic. The writing prompt also includes a useful strategy to encourage students to independently edit and develop their writing.
