Roman class reader teaching resources pack

This is the full teaching resources pack I produced to accompany my time-travel adventure novel, The Leopard in the Golden Cage, which is used as a class reader to teach KS2 children about Roman Britain. It includes creative writing and drawing exercises, a crossword relating to the Romans in general, a word search, and a quiz about the book. The Leopard in the Golden Cage is the first book in The Scar Gatherer series, a sequence of seven time travel adventures spanning British history from Roman times up to WW2. The series website has a wealth of additional material on each period, written for children. The Roman pages include a Roman timeline, pages about famous Romans, Roman recipes, and a page on Roman names. I hope you find it useful!

I wrote this quiz for schools using Saving the Unicorn’s Horn as a class reader to teach KS2 children about Viking Britain. Saving the Unicorn’s Horn is the second book in The Scar Gatherer series, a sequence of seven time travel adventures spanning British history from Roman times up to WW2. The series website has a wealth of additional material on each period, written for children. The Viking pages include a Viking timeline, pages about famous Vikings, Viking recipes, and a page on Viking runes. I hope you find it useful!
