There are 6 activities: a reading task, translation (short paragraph) from Spanish into English, sentences to translate from English into Spanish, a writing task (short passage similar to the foundation writing exam), a photo (like in the foundation writing exam) and a role-play.

Great first lesson activity. Some facts about Germany. Students give the possible question to get a nought or a cross on the corresponding square. EG: for 'Angela Merkel', students ask "Who is the Chancellor of Germany?"
Add noughts and crosses on interactive whiteboard, or print off copies of the slide and students can play in pairs/small groups
