I have created a brief film studies worksheet which can be used with any dystopian films. I watched; Chaos Walking and The Island and completed a worksheet for each film. We had already spent a full term going over dystopian conventions in Noughts & Crosses so this was an add on unit. There is also a worksheet which guides them through creating their own Dystopian world.

An explanation of what Black Out poetry is and some examples with a step by step guide. You (teacher) can choose to teach this at the beginning or end of a unit which is text based and copy pages from it. Or you can use news papers etc for a more general text focus. I used this after teaching a WW1 text and have included a text I used for them to Blackout.
