Sessions were 5-10 minutes of practise daily centering around phonics and choosing the correct sounds. Spellings get gradually more difficult as the weeks go on.
Weekly practise is as follows:
Monday - highlighting the focus sound
Tuesday - adding sound buttons
Wednesday - sound sort
Thursday - rainbow writing
Friday - spelling test (1 point for correct sound, 1 point for the rest of the word)

Week 1: y making the /i/ sound (wordsearch instead of sound sort as just one sound this week)
