It explains to learners how to annotate a poem using the SMILE technique and they will analyse Plath’s poem ‘The Mirror.’ Please note: I created this PPT using mostly my own ideas, however, to create this lesson, I have also adapted/ pasted some information from other ‘FREE download’ poetry resources that I found on TES. Thankyou for sharing your work.

Get your learners to create their own magical creature to add to ‘Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them’ book. They will start by looking at an extract from the book and doing a task on this. Then they will begin to create their own creature. Please note that this PPT and Worksheet was not my original idea and I used FREE resources that I found on TES and the internet to put into a PPT. I adapted this PPT and created the worksheet myself using these ideas. Thank you for sharing your resources with other education professionals.
