Origins of Storytelling

Origins of Storytelling

(3)
A 20 lesson booklet filled with extracts charting different kinds of stories from the creation of the world in the bible, through to Odysseus’ encounter with the Cyclops, past Shaherahadze’s 1001 Arabian nights, through The Brothers Grimm and their fairy tales, stopping by a bit of Tolstoy before finishing up with modern urban legends and how they spread. En route we look at Ragnarok, a very sensible tortoise, a very angry dragon and get someone’s rear end kissed and another’s ripped apart with a red hot poker.
