Designed for the AQA A level spec Democracy and Nazism Detailed notes and powerpoint

This is a lesson designed for the new AQA A level but could be used as a challenge for GCSE also. Starts off showing images of hyperinfltion - asks students to consider the worst part of Hyperinflation. Then students encouraged to look at the social benefits that the Weimar Governemnt offer to its citizens to see if that made life better…or actually worse! then use the sources - split them into three envelopes and give them to groups. Students encouraged to use the sources to discover three main consequences of hyperinflation 1) disasterous economics 2) links to extremist parties i.e Nazi 3) general social upheval Plenary is to colour code a sheet of ‘winners and losers’ from the hyperinflation period

Looks at What regionalism is - if it helps globalisation or not, the development of it since WW2 and what the future of it might be. Then focuses on the non EU regionalism

Looks at motivations for New Labour changes then encourages students to decide if each change is successful or not. also an activitiy at the start that encourages students to think of changes beyond New Labour into the coalition.

Looks at the sources of the UK Constitution and gives examples of each to use in an exam. Table worksheet to consolidate knowledge, starter quiz, thinking points and memory technique included. Easy lesson that saves you time.

Designed to boost exam skills and get students thinking of the reasons why Hitler was appointed Chancellor in Jan 1933. Card sort activity could be used in a multitude of ways and then an example essay plan using a PEEL structure to encourage analysis

A lesson designed to get the chronology of events between Jan 1933 - August 1934. Students then encouraged to consider if the events are ‘legal or not’ and then apply learning to an essay question.

Designed as an intro to the UK constitution - deisnged for AS but could be delievered to younger students

Well this took me a lifetime to make so I hope others find it useful. I have written more than 50+ model answers for all topics and all question types in the Migration, Empire and People module (AQA History) Could be used as revision or integrated into your teaching. Activities built in where students asked to comment on what is good / bad examples. Another activities asks students to use their notes to add details. As I say this took me an age to create during the Covid 19 lockdown - I hope it is useful - it will absolutely save you time and improve grades at the same time!
