Lesson (this went over 2 lessons) - identify the type of service by the photo - students then act out or draw each type of service using the information cards - they then create their own top trumps cards using the templates, discussing the features of different types of service - exam question at the end. Information cards are small colourful cards with a photo of each type of service and description on one side and then an example, advantages and disadvantages on the back Top trump card templates - with common criteria (i.e. speed of service, number of staff etc) for students to discuss Lesson plan also included

a) Two knowledge organiser/learning mat of each factor health and wellbeing. b) 30 slide Powerpoint presentation with basic explanation of each factor health and wellbeing. Each factor has a table for how it affects PIES. Can be printed as revision cards or students can work through independently. c) A booklet for student to fill out for each factor (I printed each factor type on a different colour paper) Physical & lifestyle factors o genetic inheritance o ill health (acute and chronic) o diet o amount of exercise o substance use (alcohol, nicotine, illegal drugs, misuse of prescribed drugs) o personal hygiene Social, emotional & cultural factors o social interactions e.g. supportive/unsupportive relationships, social integration/isolation o stress, e.g. work-related o willingness to seek help or access services, e.g. influenced by culture, gender, education. Economic factors o financial resources. Environmental factors o environmental conditions, e.g. levels of pollution, noise o housing, e.g. conditions, location. Impact of life events o relationship changes and changes in life circumstances.
