The aim of the game is to stop The Black Death before it gets you! Players must use deduction skills, knowledge and understanding of The Plague from the 1400’s in England, (studied in class), to create a fun and engaging game that not only looks at how people may have behaved in the medieval period, but also a deeper comprehension of the feudal system in society at that time. The roles on the cards are named based on legitimate hierarchical positions in the medieval era including; King, Nobles, Vassals, Witch, Plague Doctors, Plague Infected Rats and Peasants.
This card game can be adapted to the size of the class, ranging from 8 – 34 students and played for as long as you like. Have the students sit in a large circle so all can see each other and a narrator (teacher or well versed/creative student on the topic of The Black Death).
**In this package, you will receive A4 printouts of the cards (double sided for convienience and reduce printing costs), the instructions of the game and the script for the narrator to use.
