A 38 page work booklet full of activities for Component 2 of the music BTEC tech award. The booklet covers both learning aims A and B including tasks and activities to explore the musical skills required for the Component this is across composition, production and performance. They also contain a break down of the component and shares how the students will be assessed. Learning Aim A - The booklet breaks every musical skill down into the areas of performance, production and composition. the students are given set tasks to explore these skills and reflect upon the development of the skills. Learning Aim B - The students are given a set of tasks which can help develop their skills across two of three musical disciplines. I have resourced tasks for each so you do not need to plan your own if you are time conscious. The booklet also contains an example of how the students keep track of the work and which can be transferred on to digital progress logs. The booklet will also contain a pre-planned skills audit where the can assess their skills for each musical skill. Been using this resource for the past 2 years with great success with my BTEC music classes. I also have accompanying PowerPoints to this also which will be uploaded separately!

A 52 page work booklet full of activities for Component 1 of the music BTEC tech award. The booklet covers both learning aims A and B including tasks and activities to explore the musical styles and products required for the Component this is across composition, production and performance. Learning Aim A Genres Include Each explore the different techniques and key features used within the style to allow student to develop their knowledge of the genre. Work booklet also allows students to record their findings to be used within their coursework at a later date. -Rock -Modern Pop -Baroque -Blues -Reggae -Minimalism -EDM -African Music -Indian Music Learning Aim B Genres Include African Music - Composition Students will be asked to create an African music piece for a Wildlife documentary, they will need to use a variety of African music features to create a piece of music which is stylistically accurate to the genre. Fully resources and ready to teach. EDM/Minimalism - Production Students will be asked to create an EDM piece of music using minimalist techniques for the melody and harmony. Students will explore minimalist and EDM features and how they can be combined. Students will need access to a DAW for this product and will explore how fusions can be used to create music. Blues - Performance Students will be tasked with creating their own 12 bar blues for a function band. The task uses theoretical development to allow student how to create a 12 bar blues and blues scale in their own chosen key and develop this into a performance.
