Financial Literacy Lesson 1, KS2/KS3 Ages 11- 15
This is lesson one of a complete resource pack that has been designed to help improve financial literacy within our classrooms. It aims to improve young people’s understanding of money, budgeting and finance. By educating young people on financial vocabulary and practices they will learn the importance of good money management from an early age. Similarly, it aims to highlight the importance of solid saving and investment skills and how money can grow and enhance ones net worth over time.
Lesson 1 Includes: Introductory Budgeting PowerPoint, Teacher Lesson Plan, Student Monthly Income Flowchart, Job Salary Guidelines. This lesson involves calculating annual and monthly income in preparation for budgeting further in Lesson 2.
