Endings which sound like /ʃən/, spelt –tion) The resource includes: A set of 33 differentiated worksheets / workbook An editable, 100-Slide PowerPoint lesson. The worksheet activities include finding the missing words, constructing sentences, word searches, anagrams spelling practice sheets (could be used for homework) and worksheets to stretch and challenge more able pupils. All tasks and worksheets are to encourage the identification and correct spelling of these words. Worksheets contain sections for what went well, next targets, level of support and pupil evaluation The PowerPoint lesson contains a variety of activities to introduce, reinforce and consolidate the reading and spelling of words ending in -tion. They include: reading words ending in -tion. It includes all the words suggested in the National Curriculum guidance - station, action, etc. Additional -tion words have been added that will be useful for pupils across the curriculum e.g. punctuation, fraction, addition, education, question, section, digestion and many more. the spelling of the words by ‘chunking’.
