A diamond 9 activity that gets children to decide which synonyms for listen are the strongest verbs and which are the weakest before justifying their selection. Included is the original word and eight other synonyms, with the activity being useful as a starter as well as building up vocabulary for children by showing them other examples.

All credit due to Pobble with this then being taken and created as a lesson presentation and resources with ideas that children can then take and write about.
