Make Maths Matter is a 12 week intervention that is designed to build children's number confidence in Key Stage Two. Within the scheme is an explanation of the thinking behind the way it has been planned out and why it is important to start with the basics. There is then a mini plan for the three sessions each week to be led by either a teacher or teaching assistant that explains the purpose of each session. This is finished off by an Appendix that explains particular concepts in more details and gives a brief description of how each resource is to be used.

This includes working below and greater depth for writing and can be used as a simple tick box exercise. Whilst they include many potential tick boxes, these are in no way how many pieces of evidence you require.

The PowerPoint recaps aspects of angles before practising with the focus shapes before setting children off on the activity. If required, they could work through a practice sheet for calculating missing angles before moving onto the provided activity that includes questions from White Rose and previous SATs questions.
