The lessons work on building understanding through multiplying by the ones and then the tens seperately to then add together. A hunt to find Santa’s sleigh by breaking the clues and solving which country he has left his sleigh in. Written with Year 6 in mind and based on the key four operations, each clue requires children to either use addition, subtraction, multiplication or division to solve the various clues. Acts as a useful revision tool while also giving a Christmas element. Answers are also included separately for what the clue is. Links can also be made with geography by getting children to use maps and make predictions at the end of each clue.
