Year 6 Time Worksheet
A set of three differentiated worksheets that work on time for Year 6 children.
These have all been made with mastery in mind and so follow this pattern.
Worksheet One - Works on practise and fluency (LA)
Worksheet Two - Practise, fluency and reasoning (MA)
Worksheet Three - Practise, fluency, reasoning and problem solving (HA)
Worksheet Four - Same as worksheet three as a spare for anybody who finishes problem solving
Answers are included for each sheet.
Converting Length Lesson - cm and m
A fully resourced lesson that focuses on being able to convert between cm and m. The lesson presentation focuses on a range of questions and building understanding as well as guided practise questions for children to practise what they are learning. This is followed by one of two sheets based on confidence (answers included) before a final challenge question on the lesson presentation.
Guided Reading Activity Cards
A set of 32 activity cards that children can complete during guided reading/ reading comprehension sessions related to the book they are reading. These work for either the text they are reading together or their own book and use a variety of ways to show understanding as well as developing their understanding of language.

A bundle of resources linked to being able to calculate the area and perimeter of shapes.
Area and Perimeter Lesson Slides
A set of lesson slides that can be used to deliver a lesson on finding the area and perimeter of shapes. The focus within this is quadrilaterals and rectilinear shapes, using known information to help calculate. There are also then some deeper thinking questions included to check children's understanding.
Discussion Writing - Independent Writing Task
An independent written task that gives children a written stimuli to then be able to write a discussion text. Included is a look at key features of a discussion text, examples of layout and examples of logical conjunctions and modal verbs that children can then use. Within the pack are peer-marking codes, a self-assessment grid and language sheet to help children with their written task.
With the editing and redrafting process there is enough here to run a few lessons of independent writing.
Scientific Information Text Writing - Earth and Space
A lesson/s that requires children to write an information text about the Sun, Moon or Earth. Included is a lesson presentation, an example text to show them what it looks like and some support sheets including a self-assessment grid and fact files. If you have iPads available or other technology they could then also use these to support fact finding.
A useful lesson at the end of a topic on Earth and Space to summarise the learning they have done.

Maths Unit of Work (Plans, Slides and Resources) Bundle
Complete set of planning, slides and worksheets for place value x2, the four operations, fractions, algebra, area, perimeter and volume and measurements that provide 69 lessons. This has been written with Year 6 in mind but the resources are easily adaptable for other year groups.
The worksheets have written with mastery in mind and so follow the following structure:

Differentiation is achieved through self-assessment of own abilities to choose which worksheet they do. The worksheets will be clear in which is LA, MA and HA.
N.B. This bundle will grow as I add more schemes of work but the price will now stay at £20.
Mary Anning Reading Comprehension
A fact file about Mary Anning that is also a reading comprehension. This includes three differentiated worksheets with 10 questions each and answers included to test children's comprehension knowledge as well as learning about Mary Anning at the same time.
Blastoise Reading Comprehension
Reading comprehensions related to Pokemon to try and engage children whilst also developing their comprehension skills. Included is a fact file about Blastoise with three differentiated sets of 11 questions with the answers included.
Calculating Area Worksheet (Year 6)
A set of three differentiated worksheets that work on calculating the area of quadrilaterals for Year 6 children. Having used a similar format in my own lessons, these sheets often provide enough challenge for two days lessons, with children taking on the easier work then moving on to harder challenges within the other sheets.

A reading comprehension that includes a fact file about Mount Vesuvius and is then followed up with three differentiated worksheets that check their comprehension skills (answers included).
Writing a descriptive setting
A one-off lesson that looks at being able to write descriptive paragraphs to introduce a setting. Included are the slides and help sheets as well as a starter activity in using dictionaries.
Perimeter (1 of 5)
Lesson worksheets and slides for running two lessons on calculating the perimeter. These were written for Year 6 but can easily be used in other year groups as well.

Subordinate clauses
A presentation that looks at what subordinate clauses are with children before getting children to identify subordinate clauses within sentences and creating their own sentences with subordinate clauses in. This includes adverbial clauses, relative clauses and non-finite clauses.

A presentation that looks at what non-finite clauses are with children before getting children to identify non-finite clauses within sentences and creating their own sentences with non-finite clauses in.
Maths starters
112 slides with 5 questions on each that act as quick oral/mental starter questions. These cover a range of topics that children in Year 5 and 6 will cover in Maths. These can be used as a quick starter for children to work through with answers then being looked at as continual mini-teaching moments.
These include:
Adding and subtracting fractions.
Multiplying and dividing fractions.
Finding fractions of quantities,
Simplifying fractions and finding equivalent fractions.
Using written methods for division, multiplication, addition and subtraction.
Multiplying and dividing by 10,100 and 1000.
