Year 5 Place Value - Roman Numerals
A single lesson for Year 5 place value, focusing on Roman Numerals.
Included is a lesson PowerPoint which starts with an arithmetic starter then includes a number of teaching points.
Also included are a range of potential activities linked to Roman Numerals that can be used. Each activity also includes an answer sheet.
Year 5 Four Operations - Written Subtraction Lesson
A lesson for Year 5 that recaps previous learning of written subtraction from Year 4 before being able to move on to looking at the method vs mental addition in further lessons.
Included is a lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter, key vocabulary, discussion points and practices. There is then an activity that includes an answer sheet and challenge questions for anyone that finishes with answers again included.
Year 5 Place Value - Numbers to 100,000 and to 1,000,000 (4 lessons)
Two sets of double lessons for Year 5 place value, with one double lesson focusing on the place value of numbers up to 100,000 and the second double focusing on the place value of numbers up to 1,000,000.
Included in each set of lessons is a double lesson PowerPoint which starts with an arithmetic starter for each lesson (based on key Year 4 objectives they would have focused on). The first lesson then includes a number of teaching points which are then recapped as part of the second lesson.
Also included is an activity that can be used over the double lesson, alongside challenge questions for anyone who has finished. Answer sheets are included for both.
All aspects can be easily edited and adapted but can also be used as it is to deliver two lessons for the objective.

The Night Bus Hero Reading Comprehension (Chapters 16, 17 and 18)
Three reading comprehension activities linked to chapters sixteen, seventeen and eighteen of The Night Bus Hero. Each chapter has a comprehension activity that includes 20 questions that work on different skills as well as also having the answers included separately.

Year 5 Four Operations - Multiples of 10, 100 and 1000 Double Lesson
A double lesson for Year 5 that focuses on children being able to work with multiples of 10, 100 and 1000 such as 47 x 50 or 900 x 72.

Year 5 Four Operations - Written Division Lessons (x4)
Two double lessons that focus on securing the concept of written division in Year 5 using a written method.
The first double lesson focuses on being able to divide 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers before moving on in the next set of double lessons to dividing 4-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers.
Included in both sets of double lessons are a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for each lesson, key vocabulary, discussion points and practices. There is then an activity that includes an answer sheet and challenge questions for anyone that finishes with answers again included.
A multiplication grid is also included to support where necessary.
Premier League 21-22 Reading Comprehension Pack
A pack of reading comprehensions linked to all the teams taking part in the Premier League for the season 2021-22.
Included is a fact file for all 20 teams that are competing with information up to date as of the start of the season (information and images courtesy of Wikipedia).
Matching each fact file is a comprehension task of 11 questions that links to the text, as well as an answer sheet that is provided, providing 20 different tasks and 220 different questions to help develop comprehension skills.
Tasks can be used in a range of ways including as stand alone reading tasks, as a series of reading lessons, as a reading task to be doing when they come in or even for home learning or homework.
Year 3 Plants - What a Plant Needs Lesson
A lesson aimed at the Year 3 Science unit of Plants. This lesson is the second lesson of a sequence, looking at the different things that a plant needs. The lesson presentation includes a recap from a previous lesson of the different parts of a plant (can easily be omitted if you want this lesson as a one off) before then looking at the different things plants need and why.
This is then followed by an independent activity that requires children to name the things plants need before completing a true or false grid with statements linked to what plants need. This is then followed by a challenge question to provide the chance to reason. An answer sheet and support sheet are also included.
There is also a copy of the recap task included should you wish for children to have a go at naming parts of the plant and explaining why one part is important.
Year 4 Place Value - Ordering Numbers Double Lesson
A double lesson for Year 4 Place Value with children working on being able to order numbers based on their place value.

Place Value Mega Bundle (Year 4, 5 and 6)
Included in this resource is a whole unit on place value for Year 4, 5 and 6.
Each year group has fully resourced lessons including PowerPoints, activities and challenges. The Year 4 bundle has 25 lessons in, the Year 5 bundle has 15 lessons in and the Year 6 has 10 lessons in, providing 50 place value lessons with progression through the year groups.
Most lessons come as double lessons. Most lessons come in double lessons. Each double lesson includes a double lesson PowerPoint that includes an arithmetic starter for every lesson, key vocabulary, modelling, discussion and practice before moving onto an independent activity and challenge tasks that stretch over the two lessons. World Overview Double Lesson
Two lessons that focus on introducing or recapping some key aspects of the world including:
Continents

The first lesson is:
A fully-resourced lesson that focuses on being able to name and locate the continents of the world and the oceans.
Included is:
A presentation that introduces the different continents and oceans, involving some discussion around these, questions and some facts around continents.
An activity that links to the presentation with questions and a map task for naming the oceans and continents. There is also a challenge question for those that finish. An answer sheet is also included for the activity.
A support sheet for the activity which is a map with the continents and oceans named.
This lesson can be used in either KS1 or 2 with a focus on teaching continents and oceans for the first time or coming back to it at the start of KS2.
The second lesson is:
An introductory lesson to the Equator, hemispheres and tropics, suitable for either Year 2 or lower KS2.
Included in the lesson is:
A presentation for the lesson that includes maps that highlight the different areas and some information for discussion, as well as a recap task from a previous lesson focusing on continents and oceans. The recap task is also included as part of the lesson pack with an answer sheet but can easily be ignored for this lesson to stand alone.
An activity that requires children to label the various aspects discussed as well as questions and a challenge question linked to the lesson. An answer sheet is also included for this.

The Americas Geography Lesson
A lesson that focuses on being able to introduce the Americas.
Included in the lesson is:
A lesson presentation that includes maps of North America and South America to discuss as well as some introductory information to the continents. This is finished off with some true or false questions.
A recap task (this lesson is the third in a sequence having focused on continents, oceans etc.) which can be used or ignored as the lesson can stand alone or if children have been taught about continents, Equator and hemisphere then they can complete this. An answer sheet is also included for the recap task.
An independent activity that includes identifying the two continents, true or false questions and sorting countries into which continent they are part of. There is also an extension task to then research and make notes on any country from either continent. An answer sheet is also included for this alongside a support sheet with maps of North and South America.
Africa Geography Lesson
A lesson that focuses on being able to introduce Africa.
Included in the lesson is:
A lesson presentation that includes a map of Africa to discuss as well as some information to introduce the continent with some extra detail. This is finished off with some true or false questions.
A recap task (this lesson is the fourth in a sequence having focused on continents, oceans and the Americas) which can be used or ignored as the lesson can stand alone. An answer sheet is also included for the recap task.
An independent activity that includes identifying the continent on a map, identifying different countries on the continent that start with particular letters and a true or false task. There is also a challenge question to extend understanding. An answer sheet is also included for this alongside a support sheet with a map of Africa.
