With the children now spending more time at home, naturally they might have more time to watch tv programs or movies. Why not encourage your pupils/students to watch something related to humanities-based subjects, geography and history.
‘Geogglebox’ and ‘Historicalbox’ provides geographical and historical-based tv programs, documentaries and movies, divided into four different categories.
Viewer ratings provided include:
A = Suitable for All
G = Some guidance may be needed
PG = Parental Guidance Recommended
All recommendations are suitable for children aged 9 - 14 years old.
Where to watch or purchase the media has been provided for every recommendation.
Mindful Emotions Coping Strategies Spinner
This resource focuses of promoting mental wellbeing in the classroom by allowing the children to feel their emotions and select a possible coping strategy by moving the spinner and arrow around.
Let the children identify their own common emotions and feelings and how they would implement coping strategies with a blank version for them to complete their own.
This resource also includes a list of possible emotions and coping strategies to assist the children when creating their own version.
Once all three pieces (coping strategies, emotions and the arrow) have been cut out, fasten the together with a split pin.

Meditation Yoga Poses for Children - Flexibility / Wellbeing
Promote a calm, centred approach to each day by introducing time to practise meditation yoga in your classroom. These yoga cards include 10 different poses that pupils can have a go at individually or in small groups. This resource could form the basis of your starter activity in a PE lesson.
Each card contains an image and three tips to completing the pose as well as two extension ideas if they have mastered that pose.

Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning Introductory Scheme of Work
This resource provides 4 separate lesson outlines for an introductory ‘Reasoning’ Scheme of Work. The resource outlines the themes and lesson objectives and provides suggested activities, the worksheet referred to in unit plan are taken from the CGP Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning books.
The unit plan focuses on a verbal reasoning task in the first week before rotating to a non-verbal reasoning task the following week and so on.
