A book to make about 40 spiders in the haunted castle of Monsieur Patatras. Simple dialogue. Ideal for reinforcing: il y a, rooms in a house together with prepositions and of course counting to 40. Story ends with a question which will promote lots of opportunity for conversation. I have included intructions of how to make the mini book. You will need to make 2 books to accomodate all the pages. I used black paper to make my books. I'm sure the students will love this story for Halloween.

Ma Ville - matching card game

Pictures of buildings and places you might find in any town. Once children have been introduced to the key vocab they will enjoy playing this game. Pupils have to turn over two matching cards and name whatever is showing on the cards to win them. This activity could be extended further whereby pupils have to say the phrase 'Dans ma ville il y a .....' or if the town doesn&'t have whatever is on the card they have to say &';Dans ma ville il n'y a pas ....&'. If you print off more of these cards, the game could double up for the game of snap. Enjoy and have fun!!

Les vêtements 'matching pairs' card game

(2)
Game whereby children have to match the picture to the name of the item of clothing. Cards are placed face down on table. Children turn over two cards at a time. To win the cards the words have to match the picture that has been turned up. Before laminating the cards, back the picture cards on one coloured card and the word cards on a different colour. That way the children have to turn over one card of each colour. I found this really helped my children learn the vocabulary for clothes. Blank cards have been added, should you need them. Feedback would be really appreciated.

Brico Scarabée, is how the French refer to our 'Beetle Drive&' game. (Brico meaning DIY.) So following the same idea, here is a &';DIY Snowman' to complete. Making any language a game and enjoyable is what it&'s all about. Joyeux Noël à tous...
