French School Subjects - board game
Snakes and ladder game to reinforce school subjects/days of the week/time and the phrase ‘J’étudie…’. More able students could also give opinions on the subjects which they land on. Rules for playing the game differ slightly to those of regular snakes and ladders. Back onto card and laminate to make the game more durable. I have also added a 2nd game. The idea with this one is to use the expressions: I like/love/hate/don’t like. 2ticks=I love, 1tick=I like, 2crosses=I hate and 1 cross=I don’t like. Feedback is always very welcome.

Les pluriels et les couleurs
A simple gap fill in worksheet using objects in the singular and putting them into the plural form. Pictures are to be coloured in. This worksheet practices the concept of how the spelling for certain colours changes depending of the gender of the noun. Suitable for LA pupils.

La Chenille Qui Fait Les Trous - Book to make
A fun activity for young children - making their very own book. Instructions can be given of what colour each picture has to be coloured. Also revises: numbers, names of days of the week and names of food items. When book is completed, children can begin telling the story of the very hungry caterpillar. French Idioms
A gap-fill exercise to practice recognising verbs. I thought this would be a fun activity for my 10/11 years olds who are just starting to learn verbs. It proved to be a huge success. They loved it. They found the translations so funny that and by the end of the class they knew all French 10 idioms off by heart. They went away from the class saying that they wanted to research more French idioms and offered to do it for homework!! Wow!! I wonder what they will come up?
