An exciting and fun way to introduce a range of adjectives, using opposite words in French. I have given both mas/fem adjectives where needed. There is a colour matching activity. Follow-on work includes translating and a gap-fill activity. Also included are flashcards. We made up actions for all of adjectives. I backed and laminated one set of words in one colour card and the other set in a different colour. I placed one set onto the whiteboard and from the muddled set students came to match the opposite words correctly. Using a timer made it more challenging. The kids loved it and with lots of practice they were soon able to start using these adjectives in sentences. I gave my students this picture for their French homework and they were asked to write a story about it . The two stores were both written by two of my students who are 13 years old. Didn’t they do well? I was so delighted with the result that I just had to share it with the TES community!! I will admit that a few minor tweaks have been made. The first story is written in the past tense, using the ‘perfect’ tense and the ‘imperfect’ tense. Find out the names of the chicks and what kind of characters they have.
