A useful lesson that teaches the students how to use scale on a personal, local, national and international level. This lesson is aimed at KS3 but could easily be adapted for KS2 or KS4. It is a skills based lesson focused on encouraging students to learn how to use scale on different levels.

This lesson covers the Golden Age in Germany from 1923 to 1929 under Gustav Stresemann. It explains the key treaties signed in that period, why they were important and what their impact was both short and long term. It also has a clever device that will aid pupils in their revision of this period. A useful and interesting lesson.

This lesson combines the use of geographical sketch drawing with labelling so students are able to make field sketches. This lesson helps to teach the pupils how to write using geographical terminology. Aimed at KS3 it would also work well for KS2. This is a clever lesson where the students are introduced to human rights and have to imagine a word where the students take place in a market place activity to buy and sell human rights. This was made for a citizenship lesson but could easily work in a geography lesson, or humanities or RS. A fun but informative (and important) lesson,

This lesson was created for use in a KS3 Buddhism unit but could easily work in any RS unit of work, or indeed a PSHE unit. It tells the story of a young lady at an airport who jumps to the wrong conclusion when she doesn’t have all the facts. It’s told through a series of pictures and is a beautiful was to reinforce the message that a parable can be a highly effective way of getting across an important message. The pupils then have to create their own parables (there is a guide and some ideas to help them). This lesson can easily be extended to two or three lessons with extension activities (such as turning it into a role play, or making it a cartoon, or a presentation). A fun, fascinating and fantastic lesson.

This geography lesson gets the students to think about what a place actually is. It is designed to kick off a year 7 or 8 unit looking at geographical skills. The students are asked to consider: -What makes a place -What their place is like -What the difference between human and physical geography is. An excellent lesson.

This resource can also be used in lessons such as PSHE as an activity or as a starter/plenary.
