Fun way of using Kagen methods to solidify learning and understanding! Split the cards into 3 piles, one with starters one with values and one with operations. Start by sharing the operation cards so that each student in a group of four gets 6 cards. Place the cards with the sentence start face up then talk it in turns putting 1 card down each. Once this is done write the equation down in the order it have been created from the cards. Then use the second pile of cards and flip 1 over which has a value for x and solve using the value.
A powerpoint and matching worksheet on differentiation from first principles. The worksheet allows the students to work alongside the powerpoint in a “do-as-I-do” style, allowing them to highlight and annotate the sheets in a timely manner. Concise and descriptive at the same time.
