I am Head of History at an international school in Cape Town. I have produced an array of resources for my students and have focused specifically on the new AS and A level syllabus (9389). Personally, I have found the Cambridge-endorsed textbook somewhat 'thin' on detail for the demands of the examination questions. Furthermore, in the absence of an A level textbook, I decided to collate a number of academic resources and information from IB textbooks to form notes in extensive detail as chapters for my students.
