All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. They are created as TEMPLATES for online interactive resources. So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text in the downloaded text file as a NEW POST and PUBLISH.

Again with an idea from Richard Osman’s, House of Games [BBC2 weekdays 6pm]. The idea is simple in that you “hide” words within sentences. What I found was how easy some topic words are easy to hide [Solar System], some like vegetables are almost impossible to create. However, it is incredible the number of skills that are used in both creating and doing the activities. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2023/04/finding-words-hidden-within-sentence_31.html The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. I have sorted them into LEARNING, PRACTISING and TESTING activities and will add activities for each grouping if the concept works. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. learnanytime@gmail.com

TYPEWRITER SCRIPT is an incredible piece of coding into which you can copy and paste any text. Notes, stories, instructions etc. Here I have combined it with the QUIZ coding I have used before to create a simple comprehension activity on the frog life cycle. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I know nothing of computer coding but started with one piece of free coding and have been adapting that by incorporating additional free coding. Using the “calculator” coding a grid of pictures with text behind allows a simple “sorting” activity connecting pictures and text from a particular life cycle, in this case the frog. All of the pictures and all of the text can be replaced with your own content. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. This time I have incorporated animations as these I think enhance the learning. Again any set of animations can be included along with the relevant text. The activity uses some coding I have called “tooltips” which allows you to put INFORMATION OVER PICTURES in this case different types of fruit. Again it puts learners in control of the pace at which they learn as they don’t need to learn what they already know. CALCULATOR SENTENCES is based on the same coding as a “calculator” where clicking on a frame makes text appear in the frame above. In this case a sentence about life cycles. Obviously your own words can be used to replace mine and any background picture. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. This is a simple piece of coding which allows you to input a series of pictures which are then revealed when learners hover over the label.
