I have created a engaging and interactive revision booklet for GCSE students who are sitting their GCSE. It is focused around the writing questions (section B of the exams) AO5/6 (it can be used for other exam boards also) It is detailed and contains key information regarding both papers with various exam style activities to aid revision. Each paper is broken down and contains revision material It also looks at the stages of PAF, Linguistic techniques SPAG It contains up to 40 pages and would fill a weeks worth of lessons easily. This can also be printed for students to complete independently for homework/revision. My students have found this a worthwhile booklet and it has helped them loads It can be adapted to suit different abilities I have used it with KS3/4 students and SEN students. Hope you enjoy :)

Treasure Island- Robert Louis Stevenson Creative writing task Students read chapters 12- 13 where Jim and the crew see the island for the first time. Two activities based on these chapters. First activity -students draw the island from given description. Second activity -students describe senses when they step on the island for the first time. Can extend for HA students and get them to use adjectives and other linguistic techniques such as alliteration, metaphors, similes.

PowerPoint activity I used this resource for my AQA Step up to English lesson whilst studying The Railway Children but it can be adapted to fit any book or text. For the purpose of this activity students read chapter 6 of the book and were then asked to create a comic strip detailing what happened during the chapter using onomatopoeia words and sequencing events. Includes writing frame for comic and cut out comic art.
