Suitable for KS2/3 PSHE/Careers/ ASDAN
Students are given writing frame to complete about what their strengths are and what they could improve.
PowerPoint to explain the differences between qualities and skills.
Students are then given a outline of a body and asked to write their qualities on the inside and skills around the outside.
Small but effective activity that can be adapted to suit learners.
Small activity that can be done as a starter activity for an English lesson or PSHE lesson. Or it can be used in form time.
This activity is to get students thinking about their summer and what they would like to do/ recounting their summer.
Students can then use this as a prompt to write a recount, a diary entry or a short story.
This is a before summer and after summer sheet.

Activity 1- students research and complete the cost of living budget sheet. This enables them to work out their monthly costs and yearly costs
Activity 2- Students complete a budget for a weekly shopping comparing 3 supermarket prices.
I used this with a SEN class.
I made this resource for my low ability careers group but it can be adapted for more able students.
KS2/3
Students match the job descriptions with the job images.
Writing frames included.
Suitable for SEN.
For HA students could take descriptions out of the writing frame and get them to write their own.
Can be used for Careers lesson or PSHE lesson or first day in class.
KS2/3/SEN
Students given writing frame and asked to write about themselves; name, age, where they live, favourite colour etc
Students can then swap with a partner and introduce each other using the sheets.
A mindfulness journal for students to complete during form time, PSHE lessons or during the recovery curriculum after lockdown.
This journal has weekly activities for 7 weeks of school.
Concentrates on being positive, learning how to be mindful, mindfulness colouring, breating activities and learning how to be present in the moment. Some writing activities to link in with the English curriculum.
Students will reflect on their week and fill in their graditude jars to create a more positive mindset
This resource can be adapted for different abilities and the activities can be. Could be used for KS3 to Sixth form.
