A comprehensive lesson guiding students through the personalities of Henry and the French Prince. Allows time for converstations based around analytical questions and ideas. The resources are based around the skills required for AQA’s literature paper one, but could be easily adapted to suit other specifications. I originally aimed this at KS3.

This lesson is fully differentiated and guides students through the atmospheric Walt Whitman poem Patrolling Barnegat. Although it is listed as Unseen Poetry and is ideal for KS4, it is differentiated to facilitate KS3 learning. Lesson includes a review of language features, relevant contextual information and the opportunity for students to analyse in detail the language within the poem.
