A) Some admin to get the class started (timetable, brief explanation of exam requirements at AS Level, the themes covered, organisation of students' files)
B) Five activities to 'break the ice' with your new class:
1) Getting to know the teacher
2) Find someone who (in French)
3) A slide with key words to prompt student to introduce themselves to their partner / class (You can use the slide and invent your own activity from it such as '2 minutes to introduce yourself to your partner, partner takes notes and then introduces them to the class' 'truths and lies' etc)
4) A grammar based activity - To classify some words in 4 categories (nouns, verbs. adjectives, adverbs)
