The bulk of the lesson explores the two types of waves, constructive and destructive. The starter activity of distinguishing the longest coastlines in the world will be made easier for the pupils is atlases are available, although the presentation has a large map on it to help otherwise. Spellings homework included that can be marked during the following lesson.

This is a 4 slide presentation to ease the flow of the practical. Be prepared for mess, use A3 sheets on tables to avoid the marshmallows sticking to them. Groups of 4 work best, give time to plan before the practical exercise.
