This unit looks at supporting KS3 students in beginning a piece of creative writing by reading and analysing story openings from a range of literature, both classic and modern.
Lesson 07 looks at Where the Crawdads Sing and focuses on the skill of setting the tone with descriptive writing.
Optional Sp&L homework is included as well, aiming to get students comfortable presenting to a class.

Lesson 05 gives students the opportunity to present their Room 101 HWK to the class. The audience will give structured and helpful feedback to the presenter.
